Wouldn’t a playoff be cool
Let’s assume 3 teams from the SEC, 2 Big 12, 2 PAC 10, 2 Big Ten, and one from the ACC, to go along with Boise State and TCU. I left out the Big East which I normally wouldn’t do but no team has less than 3 losses. I let Virginia Tech squeak in.
Let’s assume a 12 team tourney although this year a 16 team one would be much cooler. I’ve heard 8 as well but it’s my blog post. I’m assuming you lop one cupcake off each teams schedule.

Imagine the possibilities.
An Auburn vs Arkansas possible rematch or a Wisconsin team that could run the ball, manage the clock and beat both teams consecutively.
A Boise St vs Virginia Tech rematch.
Maybe an LSU vs Oregon matchup— intriguing.
I’m thinking a Boise St vs Oregon fireworks display for the championship. Or a sneaky pesky LSU team against Wisconsin would be fun to watch.
